My friend, Jason (@sperotoys), has a new Kickstart My friend, Jason (@sperotoys), has a new Kickstarter that expands his toyline to 1/12 scale. Jason and his team have done an incredible job designing and sculpting these figures, definitely go check it out and pledge if you like cool stuff (link in their bio 👉 @sperotoys). I did this fan art last night of the main character, Pale, that was inspired by the new figure’s head sculpt.
I think the first time I saw a fighting game was i I think the first time I saw a fighting game was in an arcade in Nairobi, Kenya. The game was (somewhat hilariously) called "Art of Fighting," and I just remember being blown away by the huge, detailed sprites and vibrant colors. I've actually never been a huge fighting game fan (besides a brief Mortal Kombat obsession that I'm sure every kid went through in the 90's), but I've always loved the art in them. I did this illustration Friday night for fun, I guess he's kind of my own 90's fighting game character 😁
Fan Art Friday! I was watching the Karl Urban "Dre Fan Art Friday! I was watching the Karl Urban "Dredd" film last night and was inspired to take a shot at the iconic chin. I actually enjoy both films, the 1995 one is campy fun if you don't take it too seriously and has an incredible score by Alan Silvestri. The 2012 one is so smartly made, turning a lean budget into a claustrophobic, tense action film. I wish more genre films had lower stakes, it doesn't always have to be the end of the world/universe for the viewer to be invested.
